The 100 Days Project
It was very daunting at first. 100 images, in 100 days, all on the topic of outer space. Now at number 22, I have found that my more direct, literal interpretations are fewer and further between than I expected them to be. Only one every few days has any recognizable references. Most days, I just want to imagine outer space, and all the forces of the universe at work, and create something abstract. I usually focus on the stars, but I've enjoyed imagining various random items floating in weightlessness (babies, lips, trees, even a noose), I've contemplated spacesuit helmets, comets, and black holes, forces of attraction, and lack of oxygen. I'm thinking those may be the low hanging fruit, and as the number of images ticks higher, perhaps the ideas, the imaginings, and the results will be deeper and more surprising.
